HALLOWEEN My House!

So I've been super busy and my brain is full of information from my new job as a Teller at Wells Fargo, but I've found a way to clean and put out my favorite Halloween decorations! So heres what my house looks like with my decor....

$1 store cute-ness!

So I stopped at our local Dollar Tree yesterday and grabbed this lil' wicker wreath for $1. I've been wanting to make a spring wreath for the front door for a while now.
We had some left over spray paint from our porch swing so I sprayed the wreath down, then whipped up some felt flowers and leaves. I love playing with felt its a fun material to work with so much you can do with it. I hot glued the flowers on and voila' pretty little spring wreath!
I plan on making more for my Etsy shop and I have lots of seasonal ideas for Fall wreaths, and Christmas wreaths. Alright just posting about this makes me wanna go play with my felt now!

Snip Snip...

So I'm a little late on this post but about a month ago I cut off 12" of my hair for Locks of Love donation. I'd been growing my hair since our wedding, September 12, 2009. Everyone oooh'd and yaaa'd over my long hair but it was freaking annoying!! I'm not a girly girl so I never did any thing with it, it just hung there, and I was always finding hair in my food in the sink... it needed to go.

I can't express how great of a feeling it was to donate 12" of hair and I just LOVE my new do!! I was born to have short hair, but I think growing and donating is in my future for life.

That's all I got for right now, I'm seriously gonna keep up with posting more often I promise!

I should do a tumblr account because I find all these inspirational pictures and I want to save them all... but with a 136GB memory I'm not able to save all these totally awesome pictures I find so duders here they are!

Love this look (below) for my bathroom. The "a" shape ceiling is similar to ours as well, when the cats are gone I'll invest some $ into this space...

Love this kitchen simple and clean but fun with the dot dot hand towels. I plan on re-doing our kitchen but I need to make my mind up on what I want to do first.

These stairs are too cool. Ours are still in the original varnish, I need to get a digital printer/paper cutter.

New Blog Banner!

I learned its very hard to get your cat to listen when you say, "stay", or "hold still", or "don't move"... So I restored to human food, which he enjoyed licking...

After the licking he didn't enjoy it as much anymore.... stay Cheech stay!!

Cheech was done... I was done... My patients can only handle so much. I got a pic that worked and I went with it for now, I'd love a picture of both cats but that's might take a large amount of catnip...

RePurpose!

So one of my new favorite shows is, Cash and Cari on HGTV. So naturally when I saw this sad lonely office chair in the back of my friends suburban, I jumped at the chance to take it off her hands! I love how it turned out! I bought some upolstry fabric recovered the arms, seat, and made a gaint yo yo for the back. Spray painted the arms white after a light sand job and, bam there you go new cute chair for my sewing room! I'm defenetly keeping my eye out for Goodwheel furnature to re-claim. The weather has finally started warming up and I don't think its a trick this time. Alex got us a porch swing and after a red coat of sealer will be ready to be swingers on the porch! I can't wait till lighter evenings reading a book enjoying the fresh summer air. Well ta ta for now!

I'm a stitchin' bitch!

I FINALLY, got my Tina Givens quilt finished and its beautiful! I love it very much and I love my sister for giving me the fabric for it! I will treasure this quilt for the rest of my life!

I've been keeping myself busy while its cold and crappy with stitching! Made theses using iron on transfers from my Jenny Hart, Sublime Stitching book!

Thats all for today, its been a long work week so I'm thankful for my 1 1/4 day break! :)

Music Monday!!

I love love it when other bloggers post "Music Mondays" I have tons of favorite music but I think I'm going to start exploring what else is out there. Just recently I've been into the Ting Tings, probably because one of my favorite songs to dance to on Just Dance 2 for the Wii is by the Ting Tings... Anyways have a good Monday and let your ears enjoy this delightful song!

Help! I need some sunshine...

Maybe its lack of Vitamin D, or this nasty cold that keeps hanging on, but I feel so down in the dumps! I feel like I'm stuck in a rut with no way of getting out... I'm tired of feeling this way so sunshine shine on me! Please!

Change begins within, and with no chance of warm weather coming and taking all this depressing snow away I must make my own happiness. So I'll start with things that make me happy!

1. Alex: Annoying and "man dumb" most of the time but he makes me very happy. Hes the only person I know that wakes up EVERYDAY with a smiling face and I'd like to think that's because of me :)

2. Hello Kitty: Ok this may make my OCD happy but anytime I see something HK I truly believe it was placed in that mall, or store, for me and only me! I'm constantly associated with everything HK and I'm ok with that cause shes always happy... or is she? With no mouth its hard to figure out exactly what HK is feeling... sometimes I wish I had no mouth...

3. Home: It may not be much to anyone besides Alex and I, but to us its our place to relax, have fun with friends, eat good, be stupid, be smart, be lazy, be us! I do go crazy when I don't end the day at home its the only place that feels warm.

I could go on and on about things that make me happy, I do have several, but on cold days like this its best to focus on my favorite things that make me most happy. So I'm going to cross my fingers and pray real hard everyday that this snow goes away and sunshine finally starts to brighten my days!

Lil' Pockets

I've been keeping very busy lately with work, more snow, having a cold, and sewing! Made these lil' pockets by sandwiching 2 pieces of fabric together with some fusible interfacing turning them right side out a little velcro and a big button and viola' insist lil' pocket for whatever you need!

These are so cute and I love that I can use up scraps to make these lil' pockets. I drew up the pattern myself and thought about making a little larger for those bigger items I need space for


Found these cute little erasers on sale at Walmart. Way to cute to actually use I thought they were perfect for my printers box.

Well I'm off to a NyQuil induced acoma for at least 9 hours...
